1. What is the set of problems (there may be many!) implied by your starting HMW?
1. How will you build context for the team's understanding of the problem and potential solution space through secondary (I used the term common knowledge in class) research? Which sources of information need to be read, understood and communicated?

8/26/2017 05:54:36 pmIn order to get more insights into one of our verticals, the Job Recruitment sector, I am in the process of conducting interviews with HR members of my current company who are in charge of either recruiting of background checks specifically. The goal of these interviews will be to determine what kind of tools are currently being used to verify the factual accuracy of what candidates put on their résumé, and how companies go about to use these tools. GREG ( [email protected] ) 8/24/2017 12:42:49 pmAfter our second brainstorming session last night, we have decided on four preliminary ideas. We will each be focusing on a single idea to research the area for competitors and interview people in related fields to check the viability. We have decided to tackle the problems around a "Fact Based Internet" from a specific vertical (Fitness/Health, Employee Benefits, Job Recruitment or FinTech) rather than tackling the political/fake news problem. We had a lot of concern about business viability of these solutions. It seems like the big data companies (Facebook, Google, NVidia) that are attacking the problem have other goals than be profitable. It is also best to attack problems with a beach head approach and then expand to other areas (via Crossing the Chasm.) Perhaps we can attack the larger problem later. |
